Over at her blog of Infinite Wisdom, blogmistress Jane spoke about a commitment to a goal of self-improvement for 100 days.
I’ve been thinking about this, and, I like the idea quite a bit. Now I need to narrow it down to a specific one (or more, I suppose.) Here are some of the possiblities:
- 15-30 minutes of exercise
- Not smoking
- Not buying anything I don’t really need
- Not eating sugar (well, as little as possible, cutting out a lot of candy, ice cream, etc….)
- Art (making a pen, learning to sketch, etc.)
- Learning to play music (I have an electric guitar, and reasonably good keyboard getting dusty that were both allegedly for this goal)
- Decluttering by getting rid of a minimum of 4 items (I hope I have 400 items to go away, eh?)
- Checking and dealing with mail every day
Hrm.
These are all great! Remember: 100 days can feel like a long time. Rather than get too aggressive, pick one or two that will challenge you without completely overwhelming you. My 2 cents.
